From Saint-Petersburg, Russia, the 3D printer manufacturer LAR Technologies has launched what it’s calling the “first truly affordable machine for 3D printing metal”.
This “unique engineering company” designs and manufactures equipment for small to medium-sized businesses. It claims it will develop equipment of any complexity and specificity and its latest machine is no different.
The LAR100 3D printer is starting from €69,900 (~$80,700). Although this is only a limited time offer, this price tag is certainly a lot lower than many similar metal 3D printers on the market.

The LAR100 3D printer has been designed for fast production of numerous metal parts.
The “heart of the system” is a 200-watt IPG Photonics laser. The company explains that IPG Photonics‘ laser was chosen as this company is the world’s best-known laser manufacturer for such high-end products. IPG is an American company with locations in Moscow. You’ll find the IPG Photonics laser supplied within the base version of the printer.
Depending on which configuration you choose, the price of the printer will change. The base model costs €69,900.
