Out of all the things in the world, you’d think that toilet paper holders are the most uninteresting. That might be true about most holders, but with 3D printing, you can make everything interesting, bathroom accessories included! From sleek and stylish to movie characters and superheroes, we’ve compiled several designs that tickled our fancy.
Remember, if you see something you like but can’t print yourself, head on over to Craftcloud. The wide range of colors and finishes practically guarantees a perfect Iron Man dispenser…
This is easily the cutest toilet paper holder out there. WALL-E, the robot responsible for cleaning a waste-covered Earth, will spend his retirement helping you stay clean!
Robots are, however, quite complicated. This holder is made up of numerous parts, which need to be painted and put together, but it’s definitely worth it.

As the maker puts it, “Everyone needs a hero at every time of the day.” Iron Man’s been known to take on some tough tasks in the past, so he should be up to the job.
This holder is made of eight parts, which need to be painted and assembled. Once built, the upper half is removable so that a new roll can be inserted.
Who made it? Marco Morata
Who printed it? Again, we’re not sure, but it’s been downloaded around 800 times, so it seems pretty popular.

An iconic figure, the plain Lego man seems almost made for this job. The ever-smiling minifig keeps smiling despite what goes on around him.
Printed in seven parts, the Lego man’s hands are made to hold a toilet paper rod, which can slip in and out in order to change the roll. Be careful where you step during assembly!

This simple design isn’t very exciting, but it is very practical. It’s made to latch onto railings such as towel warmer racks, eliminating the need for screws or glues. The holder itself is made of two parts that slide together.

A garrison of toilet paper in a castle’s keep is another one of those niche objects that exist only in the 3D printing universe.
The original model for this holder is made up of two parts, but there are other variations with more parts that you can choose from. A cool feature is that empty rolls will automatically drop from an opening at the bottom.

Here’s one for Futurama fans. Even if you’re not on Bender’s “Do Not Kill” list, you should be safe with this Bender-esque holder.
The toilet paper roll sits in the mouth section, and the teeth can be raised to dispense toilet paper and change rolls. The antenna can also serve as a spare roll holder.

One of the largest carnivores to have ever lived will now reside in your bathroom. In fact, you can print a whole pack of them if you fancy the whole set. It includes a toothbrush holder, a soap dish, a toilet paper holder, and a tower hook, all fashioned after T-Rex skulls.
The complete set comes in five files, and if you’re interested in the original skull model, it comes from Makerbot’s Thingiverse account.

This model is basically a box with a hinged top, to which the rod for toilet paper is attached. A motif decorates the face of the box, and 12 different designs are available to download.
Naturally, you can always make your own motif. Regardless, printing it with a contrasting color will give the holder a nice look.

We’re a bit unsure of the name of this design… Our best guess is that it’s inspired by the simple elegance of Apple products.
Different from the other models on this list, this toilet paper holder neither mounts to a wall nor includes an interior rod to hold toilet paper. Instead, the toilet paper rolls sits on the base and rolls in place within the removable dome covering.

Another classic character who’s perfect for the task. After all, his name rhymes with… loo.
This cute representation (of a frankly annoying Super Mario character) is an easy print. Made up of three parts (the face, the eyes, and the actual holder) all you have to do is glue the pieces together, mount it to the wall with screws. Thankfully, he won’t creep up on you when you’re not looking.
