Pendulum Clock

It's about time! (Source: Steve via PrusaPrinters)

Who needs a watch when you have this piece of brilliancy? This DIY pendulum clock uses several 3D printed parts as well as a few parts that can be found at your local hardware store or online.

The clock can run for eight entire days, keeping an accuracy of 1 to 2 minutes, which is better than most people’s oven or microwave clocks.

According to the maker, it should take about 90 hours of printing time and be printed with a 0.15-mm layer height and 50% cubic-patterned infill. Although no supports or rafts are needed, a few tall parts can benefit from a brim.

Ever had some filament that’s just too moist to print with? If you already have a Prusa printer, you might also have gotten your hands on Prusa’s filament brand, Prusament. Now you can keep your hygroscopic filaments safe with this Prusament dry box. You can even install your own humidity sensor to make sure that the filament is dry at all times!

The box itself is mostly 3D printed, but it does need a few purchased parts. You’ll find the parts you’ll have to buy as well as the build instructions on the Prusa blog. Note that there are three 3D printed parts that need a semi-high infill to keep moisture out.

The print takes over 35 hours to complete because of how big it is, and be prepared to let go of 455 grams of filament.

This design, made by Prusament, assumes the use of a high-strength filament to make a pulley. Filament strands become its “string”, so you can use your filament to lift something heavy.

Prusament recommends printing this pulley in polycarbonate for strength, and with a 0.2-mm layer height. The print takes approximately 6 hours and consumes 64 grams of filament. The final product uses three printed parts and needs one screw to connect them together.

This miniature model of the Prusa i3 is a print that really represents the spirit of Prusa and Prusa users. A funny desk toy, it’ll also test your printer’s miniature printing abilities.

This miniature model can be 3D printed in parts, allowing you to give the model color to make it look exactly like your full-sized Prusa i3. Even though it’s small, it’ll take about two hours to print because you’ll want to slow down the print speed to best capture the detailing.

The designer recommends printing at a 0.1-mm layer height with a 0.25-mm nozzle. The model is made up of four parts, which together use about 5 grams of filament.
