Maybe you’ve got limited space in your closet. Maybe you’ve got many bags or satchels and you’re not making the best of what storage space you’ve got. Maybe you just want to add a cool print to your organizing tools. Well then, hello rotating hanger by Takst3in.
How did we come across this Thing of the Week? Out of a very real need and coming across the helpful item at a locker room. The original solution hangs directly from the locker’s top, which is quite useful; while browsing for a model worthy of this series, coming across Takst3in’s felt almost like destiny. After all, if 3D printing can help improve organization and space use, what’s there not to like?
3D printing this model was as easy as could be – something that’s reflected in its high rating.
With a streamlined setup that included Bambu Studio, Bambu Lab’s P1P, and Bambu Lab’s Dynamic PLA, settings included the 0.2 Standard profile and no supports. The default printing profile yielded a sturdy model that can put up with a purse that carries a wallet, cell phone, book, keys, coins, tissues, a charger, a pencil case, lip gloss, snacks…
If you’ve got a keen eye, you’ll be able to tell that the hooks aren’t fitting snugly like they are in the original one. Whether it’s a matter of the tolerances not being as sharp or our not being strong enough to put it all together properly, as long as it’s getting the job done, we’re not particularly bothered. And it still looks cool and rotates, so really, what’s the harm?
Maker Takst3in has shared 50 models on MakerWorld so far, and his designs include everything from a twist pencil case to a cool puzzle, plus line designs and even more organizational prints, like the belt hanger for wardrobes, whether they’re 8 or 12.
