Released in theaters on 10th July, early reviews have been positive, so we’re cautiously optimistic. Davidson3d’s Linklings design inspired the Despicable me version of ‘Minions Linking’. Designed with a Meshmixer and 3D printed to perfection, these little characters were painted with nail polish to give them authenticity. Shiuan explains the process of creating the minions on her website, which is in Chinese. It’s very photo heavy, so you see how much work went into making each linking Minion unique and memorable.
