3DPrinterOS partners up with Siemens, Dassault Systèmes, Autodesk and Onshape, bringing CAD software and 3D printing closer together.

3D printing using a desktop machine is relatively easy; many home hobbyists are able to design, slice and print an object in a relatively short space of time.

For commercial level prints, however, a more sophisticated system is required. With many computers, servers and 3D printers involved, the process can become rather complicated.

This is where 3DPrinterOS are hoping to provide some value, with a cloud-based platform which helps to shorten the time it takes to additively manufacture a part. As John Dogru, CEO 3DPrinterOS, explains:

Integrating CAD-t0-Web with 3DPrinterOS

Using this cloud-based system, members of 3D printing enterprises can now print their designs directly from CAD software, meaning a much shorter time to market and with a lot less hassle.

In order to make this idea work worldwide — and enable users of different software packages to access the platform — the company has announced several new partnerships with major CAD software developers.

These include CAD-to-web 3D printing integrations with companies like Siemens, Dassault Systèmes, Autodesk, and Onshape, and enabling users of SolidEdge, SolidWorks, and Autodesk Fusion 360.

On the new partnerships, Anton Vedeshin, CTO 3DPrinterOS said: “We are excited to enter more partnerships so we can provide all our Enterprise users with a seamless CAD to real-time direct 3D print capabilities and end to end integrations with manufacturing execution systems.”
