Making modifications to a 3D printer is an activity enjoyed by many 3D printing enthusiasts.

As a 3D printing company that strives to offer high-quality products and great customer service to its users, Creality hasn’t just been committed to 3D printer manufacturing. It’s also embraced 3D printer fans who love to work on DIY projects for their Creality machines.

With this in mind, Creality has decided to launch the Creality Global DIY Creative Modification Masters Contest, its first DIY printer modification contest, before the company’s upcoming 7th anniversary, beginning January 20.

During the last 7 years, Creality has been dedicated to discovering new innovations in 3D printing, and this is what it aims to discover in this exciting modification contest. As such, “Reshape imagination and break creative boundaries” has been chosen to be the subject of this contest.

The contest has been divided into two sections – classical series modification (For Ender 3 and CR-10 series printers) and conventional series modification (for all other models). Candidates can choose the corresponding section they wish to enter themselves, according to the models of the modified printers.

The selection process will run in 4 stages: Submission of Works: Jan. 20 to Mar. 9; Preliminary Selection: Mar. 10 to Mar. 18; Secondary Selection: Mar. 19 to Apr. 8; Final Selection: Apr. 9.

The modifications will be witnessed by more than 1 million users from all over the world and 7 awards will be handed out for each modification section, including one chief modification master from each category.

Winners will have the opportunity to become Chief Product Experiencers (CPE) for Creality and will receive further rewards, including 3D printers, honor certificates and a cash prize. Judging the selection will be 2 Key Opinion Leaders from a Chinese 3D professional forum and 3 from an overseas 3D professional forum.

As 3D printing becomes more and more popular in global society, so has 3D DIY printer modification. Creality hopes to encourage this boom and encourages 3D printing fans to break the boundaries of possibility and display their creativity to the world.
