A maker has posted a simple program on Reddit that generates the designs for 3D printed keychains. The program is available to download through the Prusa Printables website.

It’s a nifty piece of software allowing you to insert two words and then generate the code either through a paid or free version of the app. The print should take up to 15 minutes, and the keychain weighs 2-3 grams. It’s recommended to print with a  0.4 mm nozzle.

It’s not particularly wise to download unverified programs, although comments on the thread confirming the program is legit and makes it through anti-virus scans suggest that it is okay. But still, strangers on the internet and all that. Download at your own risk.

The Reddit thread also raises interesting questions about how to maintain open-source software and simultaneously prevent profiteering.
