The latest popular print circling Reddit was created by 3D print hobbyist the_colorist, who utilized their 3D modeling and printing skills to make a beer stabilizer and shared the gadget on Reddit.

Initially printed as a gadget to “solve my biggest problem at Burning Man” the small gadget can be attached to a bicycle to steady a can of beer while cycling around the notorious desert. It is now the single best-performing post to trend on the r/BurningMan subreddit. The_colorist utilizes 3D printing for many of their installations at Burning Man, including a striking animated bird with a 6-foot wingspan, fashioned with technicolor LED lights.

The beer stabilizing gadget has been reposted in the r/3Dprinting subreddit, where some hobbyists wonder if they can make the same tool but using 3D printed springs instead of metal add-ons. It would make an interesting project for anyone keen to experiment with 3D printed springs.

In a comment on the original post, The_colorist said that they are happy to share the CAD file with anyone who wants to make this print.

The_colorist said: “if someone wanted to use my CAD as inspiration then I don’t mind sharing it,” and added that individuals should message them privately. However, they did share this Fusion 360 link as a reply to several comments asking for the file.
