Ah, the holidays. A time for family, and about as much relaxation as you can manage while the kids are out of school and fueled on a daily dose of seasonal chocolate from their advent calendars.

Your 3D printer can help (somewhat), with quick prints that provide a daily dose of fun. 3D printed advent gifts, if you will.

All month until December 25th we’re bringing you All3DP Unwrapped: daily highlights of quick and easy toys that you can 3D print over the holiday season. We’re sure to dig up something fun for you, whether it’s a daily advent toy, gifts for the holiday celebrated by your family, or just a micro project for yourself. Check it out!

Print-in-Place Optimus Primal by Paramount Pictures

Just hanging out (Source: Paramount Pictures via Printables)
We briefly covered this print over the summer, but it’s so cool it’s worth a second look. An officially licensed model of Optimus Primal from the movie, “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts”, simply print and let it dangle from wherever you choose, thanks to its chain-link-like arms and legs.

As far as Printables models go, this one’s at the top of Santa’s list. The results speak for themselves – with hundreds of positive reviews (and pictures to go along with them) raving about just how high-quality this design is. Best of all? It’s a print-in-place design. Autobots, no assembly required!

Who made it? Paramount Pictures
