Amid a slew of exciting new machines comes the Photon Mono, a budget-friendly 3D printer with a new-generation mono screen and upgraded features.
At a pre-order price of $209, the Photon Mono is a competitive printer ideal for enthusiastic hobbyists and small and medium-sized enterprises looking for affordable rapid prototyping.
Monochrome LCDs ensuring a greater intensity of light to pass through, effectively reduce the amount of exposure time needed to cure the resin.
The Photon Mono features a very short curing time and claims to be able to print a maximum of 50 mm every hour. The panel also has a higher-rated lifetime than color LCDs, life expectancy lasting over 2,000 hours in normal usage.
The Photon Mono features a matrix parallel light source and a high-quality Z-axis rail structure. This ensures your parts will be produced with high levels of precision and dimensional accuracy.
Compared with the fan-shaped single light, the Photon Mono’s array of parallel lights use direct current and have a narrower emission angle, which can greatly improve the printing quality.
Because of less light scattering, it provides sharper contrast at the edges and reduces diffuse reflection, resulting in a delicate and smooth surface. The array ensures that the light source is evenly distributed across the printable area.
The Photon Mono uses Anycubic’s slicer software, Workshop, to make the workflow easier. It also supports up to eight times anti-aliasing.
You can buy your own Photon Mono from Anycubic’s official website.
