Anycubic has announced that it is offering quick-release hot-end replacements to affected users of Kobra 3 3D printers.

The move comes after Anycubic became aware of “leakage issues” on certain machines – an issue discovered to be the result of “the hot end throat component in a few units not meeting our airtightness standards.”

Anycubic says the leakage is not caused by its own products or manufacturing but rather by the quality of an adhesive used in the component. The company will no longer use that batch of adhesive.

Users who are experiencing such leakage can submit a ticket to receive a new hot end, which will be shipped within 14 business days. Those who purchased their machine from a distributor or reseller should make contact that way, rather than through Anycubic’s support channel. Additionally, Anycubic has extended the hot end’s warranty to six months, up from three. Kobra 3 printers themselves have a yearlong warranty.
