Its first-ever booth at Rapid + TCT, 2024’s show caps a wildly successful first two years in the business for Bambu Lab. It will surely be a show characterized by stability.

There will be no surprise new products, the company tells us. Instead, the spotlight will be firmly set on the Bambu Lab’s surprisingly diverse lineup, which ranges from low-cost multicolor-capable systems such as the A1 Mini to the recently released X1E, an enterprise-focused variant of the company’s high-speed debut X1-series 3D printer.

The A1 is likely to be on display, available again following a full product recall at the beginning of 2024–an ordeal the company handled professionally but is sure to want to quickly put in its rear-view mirror.

For businesses operating with stringent demands on their in-house hardware, the new X1E is sure to be the center of attention. Devised to satisfy the at-the-time crushing demand placed on Bambu Lab’s X1-Carbon machine by business needs, it includes expanded networking options, tighter network security, and office-friendly features such as air filtration. The X1E is Bambu Lab’s newest, priciest (~$2,499) and most capable 3D printer. It is designed to tackle professional and engineering applications, with printing capabilities that are skewed toward tougher and more exacting materials that require chamber heating and hotter print temperatures for optimal printing.

Underpinning Bambu Lab’s entire product lineup is the devices’ multicolor and multi-material capabilities, provided by the company’s Automatic Material Station (AMS) products, so expect to see multicolor prints, examples of breakaway and soluble support material, and perhaps plenty of the characteristic “poop”–squiggles of purge material that eject from the machines as they print.
