If Colibrium Additive doesn’t sound familiar to you, you’re not alone. But you likely do know the company. Colibrium Additive is the new name of GE Additive, from parent company GE, which has been around since 1892.

Colibrium Additive is not just a new name for the wing of GE Aerospace that focuses on additive manufacturing, but also a new focus on solving all manner of manufacturing challenges. The company’s metal additive design and manufacturing includes an integrated offering of additive experts, advanced 3D printers, services, and metal powder materials.

Printers include electron beam powder bed fusion (EB-PBF), laser powder bed fusion (LPBF), and binder jetting machines. Colibrium Additive’s material wing called AP&C supplies and creates metal powders, while its consulting services is called AddWorks.

At the 2024 Rapid + TCT Colibrium Additive has one of the largest booths (#1539) smack in the middle of the show floor to showcase its new name and branding.

Alain Dupont, Colibrium Additive’s chief commercial officer is speaking as part of a panel discussion on June 27, at 8:30 a.m. on the state of the AM industry and its future.
