Creality’s K1 series 3D printers have set off a huge craze among consumers since early 2023, owing to their 600mm/s super speed and out-of-the-box experience. Half a year later, Creality has delivered yet another pacesetter – the Creality K1C 3D printer. This new 3D printer is an upgraded iteration of the popular K1, equipped with a reliable extrusion system, better filament compatibility, an AI camera, an air filter and much more. This new pro-sumer machine aims to be the true champion of speed and skill.

Optimized Printhead for Carbon Fiber Printing

The Creailty K1C 3D printer features an extruder kit, boasting 1000 hours of clog-free extrusion. Enhanced by a bolster spring and a ball plunger, the extruder gives a tight grip on the filament that won’t slacken off. At the same time, the “Unicorn” nozzle, integrated with heat break, blocks heat creep and can be swapped easily with one hand. Even better, the nozzle tip is forged with hardened steel, enabling it to handle carbon fiber filled filaments such as PLA-CF and PETG-CF, which are widely used in industrial printing for their mechanical strength and dimensional stability. The extrusion prowess and filament versatility makes the K1C 3D printer as capable a professional 3D printer as any other in its range.

The renowned cooling system found in the K1 has been improved within the Creailty K1C 3D printer. The hotend and part cooling fans on the printhead are now dynamically balanced so they are less likely to wobble, minimizing ringing or ghosting during the printing process.

Out of the Box Experience Without Letdowns

The K1C 3D printer is pre-assembled, making it a true plug and play machine. The boot-up guide operates the user as if they are simply turning on a new smartphone. After the auto-calibration feature quickly handles the leveling process, the printer is ready to go. That means no more frustrating paper test to ensure proper leveling across the print bed. To allow more users to enjoy the power of artificial intelligence, K1C comes standard with an AI camera that can monitor the printing process and will actively send an alert if an error occurs. It is also great for real-time monitoring and time-lapse filming.

With the K1C, Creality promises an enjoyable printing experience, no matter where the machine is stationed. Whenever you want peace and quiet, just switch the the silent mode setting, which brings the noise of the printer to less than 45dB, as loud as turning pages in a book. Meanwhile, the built-in active carbon filter purifies compounds and particles arising from molten filaments. So, users can be reassured to live and work in the same place with their K1C while it’s operating at full capacity.

The K1C 3D printer also has built-in features to protect the print job in case of failures or mishaps. For example, if an individual print fails during a batch-printing job, you can simply exclude it from the batch, so other prints can continue without being affected. Equipped with the damper hinge and pre-installed damping pads, the printer is also more secure than its predecessor. The Creality team describes the K1C as a considerate friend. It won’t bother you when you are bent on other things. But when you need its support, it will spare no effort to be there for you.

Superb Hardware & Software Ecosystem

The Creality K1C 3D printer has a lot of quality optional accessories to improve the process even further. Both the hardware and software of K1C are open-source, enabling makers to unlock the full potential of the printer. The Creality OS, based on Klipper, enables advanced functions like linear advance and allows anyone to customize it. Additionally, the Creality Print slicer features smart cooling, optimal retraction, slim tree supports, and more. It also allows users to manage a print farm efficiently over LAN. With Creality Cloud, users get access to a vast number of free 3D models and enjoy easy cloud printing.
