Widely known for its array of 3D printers, Creality, a popular brand across the globe, has also made great strides in the realm of laser engraving and cutting technology. CR-Laser Falcon, for example, has been a well-regarded desktop laser engraver since its release earlier this year. “Creality CR-Laser Falcon is a high-precision, intuitive laser engraver that is both affordable and easy to use,” ALL3DP stated in its review of the machine.

As CR-Laser Falcon offers makers with an affordable and easy way to utilize engraving or cutting, many 3D printer owners also want to enjoy the magic of a laser engraver, but not all have enough studio space or budget. And so, Creality has developed new hardware that will enable its customer base to transform their 3D printer into an engraver or cutting machine. Creality has launched three new laser module attachments for various 3D printer models, allowing makers to leverage laser engraver technology while saving space and spending less.

This isn’t exactly a new venture for the brand. Creality once released a 1.6W laser module attachment for printers in the Ender-3 series, which let some users have fun with their 3D printers in expansive and interesting ways. Creality prides itself on prioritizing user experience, and wanted to inspire more customers to experience the capabilities of engraving and cutting technology. Creality has developed 1.6W, 5W and 10W laser modules compatible with its wide range of 3D printer models. With this new product offering, the manufacturer is making laser engraving and cutting more accessible to the masses.

These three new laser modules are compatible with an extensive line of Creality 3D printers, including the Ender-3 S1, Ender-3 S1 Pro, Ender-3 S1 Plus, Ender-3 V2, Ender-3 Neo, Ender-3 V2 Neo, CR-10, CR-10 Mini and more. These new releases are engineered to offer an affordable addition to your Creality 3D printer, while also ensuring easy installment and even easier operation.

Not only do the 1.6W, 5W and 10W laser modules all offer tremendous compatibility with Creality 3D printers, these attachments also work well with a variety of engraving and cutting materials, opening the door for meaningful and useful creations of all types. When it comes to bring ideas to life, many makers desire flexibility with their engraving and cutting materials. This enables them to turn every stunning idea into reality, and that’s where these three laser modules come into play.

Different Modules Meet Different Needs

The engraving capabilities are varied among 1.6W, 5W and 10W versions, so it’s important to select the module that best meets your needs. For example, the 1.6W laser module can cut 0.05mm basswood in a single pass, the 5W module can cut 5mm basswood in a single pass, while the 10W module can handle 12mm basswood with one single cut. For those who wish to expand their material options further, the 5W and 10W modules are able to engrave a variety of metal materials.

Features

Up to 0.06mm high precision

The 1.6W, 5W and 10W laser modules are engineered to offer 0.06mm high-precision engraving accuracy. Multi-lens technology compresses the spot size down to 0.06mm, allow for better engraving details. Users can expect the engraving job to match the intended design, all the way up to every fine detail.

Easy to use

These three laser modules also stand out by offering easy installation and calibration. Users can install the laser module within two minutes time, and can enjoy starting their engraving journey without having to change or update firmware. Laser focusing is simple and can be done by just pressing the paddle switch down for the 1.6W and 5W modules. For 10W module, it’s slightly more elaborate, but only three steps are required to focus: loosen the screws, slide the module to get the bottom of the protective cover close to the focus strip, and tighten the screws.

The three laser modules can be fully operated offline via a TF card loaded with designs. This feature provides freedom for users to operate the engraving and cutting module outdoors, in the workshop, warehouse, basement or anywhere else – without having to connect to a computer. When the machine is offline, simply press the start button to preview, engrave, cut, pause, and start the engraver again.
