In the latest update to Creality’s Sonic Pad, a Klipper screen that makes the firmware’s installation a simple process for supported 3D printers, the first official support for a third-party machine has been added: the Prusa Mini.

The Sonic Pad has been receiving OTA updates with impressive regularity, pleasantly rounding out features and printer support for the Klipper screen and its custom, open-source operating system.

Creality Cloud integration has also been added, expanding the Sonic Pad’s functionality. The service allows users to select files, slice, and print from the cloud on the device. The integration isn’t perfect – navigation needs some work to allow users to easily select their own models – and is limited to the Ender 3 S1, S1 Pro, and V2 for now; but will be available for all pre-configured Creality printers in the future, Creality says.

Also included in the update is power loss recovery, a feature absent from default Klipper; a new timelapse option, the ability to move the print head before each picture; and the option to send logs to Creality’s support team directly from the interface.
