ELEGOO, a pioneering force in the 3D printing industry, today announced the upcoming launch of the OrangeStorm Giga on Kickstarter, setting a new standard for large-format 3D printing technology. The highly-anticipated launch event is scheduled for Saturday, November 4th, at 2:00 PM UTC, offering early-bird pricing starting at $1,250.

You Wanted Big, Giga Gives You Huge – and Fast

The OrangeStorm Giga’ features an enormous build volume of 800 x 800 x 1000 mm, which not only caters to the printing needs of large-scale projects, but also eliminates the hassle of cutting models into smaller sections for efficient printing.

Speed is another crucial factor to the OrangeStorm Giga’s performance. It’s equipped with a 64-bit 1.5G clock speed quad-core high-performance processor, promising a six-fold increase in printing speed compared to similar-sized machines. Operating at a maximum speed of 300 mm/s – with a recommended speed of 150 mm/s – the OrangeStorm Giga ensures swift and efficient printing without compromising on quality.

Efficient, Quiet, Ready for Work

The OrangeStorm Giga’s silent driver system, which is integrated into the XYZE axes, significantly reduces operational noise, contributing to a peaceful printing environment.

This focus on user experience is further reflected in the OrangeStorm Giga’s efficient heated bed. It consists of four independent PEI magnetic high-temperature platforms that ensure rapid heating of up to 90 °C in just 17 minutes. The platform on which a model is located can be either automatically or manually recognized and heated independently for increased energy efficiency.

A High-Temperature Nozzle for Improved Print Precision

The Giga also boasts an upgraded 300 ℃ high-temperature nozzle with a proximal double-gear extrusion structure and full titanium alloy heat pipe. Additionally, the nozzle’s 60W ceramic heating pad and chrome zirconium copper heating block enables smoother, more uniform extrusion for better print precision

Meanwhile, a PID auto-calibration function on the nozzle provides users with full control of nozzle temperature, with a built-in acceleration sensor automatically calibrating resonance compensation parameters to further boost print quality.

Get Colorful with Multi-Nozzle Printing

The OrangeStorm Giga also allows users to add up to three additional nozzles, allowing them to simultaneously print with four nozzles that print four of the same model. Should users desire, each nozzle can be equipped with a different color of the same filament to achieve four differently colored models.

User-Friendly Features Create a Streamlined Printing Experience

The OrangeStorm Giga also arrives with a host of user-friendly features, including one-click automatic leveling that leverages a non-contact, high-precision sensor to automatically collect 121 points of platform data.

The printer’s integrated body is elegant and durable, with both the X-axis and Y-axis acting as linear guides to improve printing stability. The Z-axis features an upgraded version of the Z-Axis rod, working to make the machine run smoothly and ensure the leveling precision.

There’s also automatic filament detection, power loss recovery, and thickened, double-side cooling fans that work to improve print results, with a life-prolonging intelligent control function that stops working when printing is complete, saving energy and reducing noise.

Users control the machine via a seven-inch HD capacitive screen, which can be detached from the body for handheld operation. The touchscreen also supports ELEGOO model previews in Ultimaker Cura, and can switch between eight languages.

Finally, the printer’s body cables are stored in caterpillar cable tracks, preventing the cables from being worn, broken, or accumulating dust and debris – ensuring the stability and reliability of the entire system.

ELEGOO will showcase the OrangeStorm Giga, the first-ever large FDM industrial 3D printer, as well as the cutting-edge Jupiter SE resin 3D printer, at the Formnext event, which runs from November 7-11, in Frankfurt, Germany.
