Elegoo has announced the impending release of two new series’ of 3D printers, with preorders set to open on June 1.

First up is the Saturn 3 series of MSLA mono 3D printers – the Saturn 3 and Saturn 3 Ultra. Most of the information that Elegoo has released is focused on the Ultra, although both printers will feature an eyebrow-raising 12K resolution, matching the resolution of Anycubic’s recently announced Photon Mono M5s. It’s a number that may be extreme for hobbyist purposes but will, depending on the yet-to-be-revealed X accuracy, produce highly detailed models.

Other Ultra-specific specs include a solid Z-axis ball screw, an IPS capacitive touchscreen, a built-in air purifier, and wireless file transfer, streamlining printing operations by eliminating the need for a USB drive. It’s unclear as to exactly how much overlap there will be, spec-wise, between the Saturn 3 and the Saturn 3 Ultra, although respective MSRPs of $399 and $499 hint at some discrepancy.

Also announced is the Neptune 4 series of FDM 3D printers, which arrives in regular and Pro editions. Like the Saturn 3 series, Elegoo’s tease is mostly Pro-focused. Both printers, however, will run on Klipper firmware.

Speed is the name of the game for the Neptune 4 Pro, with Elegoo promising it to be 10 times faster “than previous machines”, with a maximum printing speed of 500 mm/s (although a recommended speed of 250 mm/s). Full-metal, dual-axis guide rails and double-row, ball U-shaped bearings, meanwhile, will aim to “greatly enhance” printing stability.

The Neptune 4 Pro will also feature a build volume of 225 x 225 x 265 mm; auto-leveling; a dual-gear, direct-drive extruder; and a four-fan cooling module. The Neptune 4 will retail at $259, with a slight jump up for the Neptune 4 Pro, at $299.

Though unmentioned, Elegoo’s teaser image may suggest there are another two resin 3D printers to be announced soon, the silhouettes of which look reminiscent of the Mars 3, and a third additional device.

More information about Elegoo’s Saturn 3 and Neptune 4 printers is expected in the coming days, with Elegoo pointing those interested toward its Facebook page for “timely” updates.
