Expect a diverse show of machinery from Flashforge at Rapid + TCT 2024, though be prepared to hunt it all down, particularly if you have an interest in the company’s lesser-publicised jewelry-specific machines.

At the Flashforge booth, #1016, you’ll find the company’s current desktop-class printers, the Adventurer 5M and 5M Pro, both of which boast high print speeds, modular hot ends that are quick and easy to swap, plus a general ease of use for which their machines have traditionally been favored. Teasers on social media have trailed that the company plans to release the next generation of these models later in the year, which aligns with Flashforge’s description of itself for Rapid + TCT, which includes the aim to “3-4 new models” per year.

We know Flashforge will not reveal any new machines at the show, but recently released innovations mean there’s plenty for attendees to check out.

For one, the Guider 3 Ultra takes the conveniences of its desktop machines and extends them to a tall form factor that can be carted around a studio or workshop on its casters. Its 6oo-mm build height helps it stand apart, as does its dual-hot-end-toting print head, which lets you print with dedicated support material – a must for professional use and complex prints that go beyond simple geometries.

To see the Flashforge MJP WaxJet 510 – the company’s latest machine pitched purely at the jewelry industry – head to the booth of Romanoff International Supply Corporation, #906. Flashforge says the 510 is “born for K-gold jewelry casting.” Using wax jetting technology, it deposits thousands of micro-droplets of material and dissolvable support material in a pass, layer by layer, to build batches of high-resolution models. A complete software ecosystem supports the user with productivity-enhancing features like intelligent batching and what appears to be a streamlined, beginner-friendly workflow. Certainly, the impression given by Flashforge is that there’s no skill barrier to using the MJP WaxJet 510 – just like the company’s desktop machines.

Flashforge’s booth, #1016, is in the left half of the hall, three rows from the end and a half-dozen booths deep. You’ll find it between Amazemet and Vistar Industries.
