FLSun has announced the impending launch of two new 3D FDM printers: the FLSun S1 and T1.

The S1, which FLSun has declared its new flagship machine, features a build volume of 320 x 320 x 430 mm and is focused on high-speed printing – claiming a max speed of 1,200 mm/s, acceleration of up to 40,000 mm²/s, and a volumetric flow rate of 110 mm³.

The S1 also leverages a closed-loop stepper motor system and an all-metal hot end rated to 350 °C. There’s also “microtac radar”, which works to improve print quality, accuracy, flow, and prints’ first layers, says FLSun. Users control the machine via a seven-inch touchscreen.

Perhaps most interesting about the S1 is its dedicated chamber for filament drying, as well as stock temperature and humidity monitoring. That, combined with a “newly designed” FLSun OS system, creates a bit of intrigue around the upcoming machine.

The FLSun V400, for example, which was released last year, was relatively early to go to market with Klipper as its stock firmware. How – or if – Klipper relates to FLSun OS remains to be seen, although it could be the case that it will serve as FLSun’s attempt to create its own direct interface UI rather than the KlipperScreen interface that came stock on the V400. It’s also up in the air whether FLSun OS will arrive with the T1.

Speaking of the T1, the machine appears to be a stripped-down version of S1, although details here are fairly scarce. We do know, however, that it will reach a claimed top speed of 1,000 mm/s, and feature automatic bed leveling and vibration compensation (which we assume are also included with the S1).

The FLSun S1 and T1 are set for a November 23 release. Pricing has yet to be revealed, but FLSun has told All3DP that the first three buyers of each machine will be able to purchase them at half price. Exclusive bunch.
