Flsun has opened preorders for its latest 3D printer, a speed-focused delta machine called the Flsun S1.

The 3D printer, which features a build volume of 320 x 320 x 430 mm, can hit claimed max speeds of 1,200 mm/s, acceleration of 40,000 mm/s², and a max flow rate of 110 mm³/s. All told, Flsun says, the S1 can print Benchy in eight minutes – relying on an all-metal frame, a CPAP turbofan, and a closed-loop motor to do so.

Flsun says the S1 is capable of accuracy of 0.1 mm, as well. Additionally, it leverages AI LIDAR for print monitoring, plus fairly standard features like auto leveling, filament detection, and a touchscreen.

There’s also “smart zone heating”, which adapts to the needs of specific materials and prints, a built-in air filtration system, and a filament dry box above the build chamber, which is large enough for a single spool of filament.

At a glance, the machine looks to be quite the upgrade from the Flsun T1, arriving with a rather substantial boost in speed and power compared to its predecessor – and a Facebook livestream will kick off today at 10 am EST (4 pm CET) as its official introduction.

At that time, the Flsun S1 will be available for preorder on Flsun’s website, where you can currently find full specs and technical information. Those who make a purchase from today to June 14 can snag a printer for $1,299 – a $200 discount from the S1’s $1,499 MSRP.
