The delta machine boasts many of the same specs as its predecessor, but aims to be quieter and leverage improved algorithms to make features like spaghetti detection more effective.

Flsun has launched a new delta 3D printer: the S1 Pro. The machine follows up the S1 Delta, which was released last year, and put speed front and center.

The S1 Pro follows suit, claiming max print speeds of 1,200 mm/s and max acceleration of 40,000 mm/s2, which is the same as its predecessor.

In fact, many of the S1 Pro’s specs match the S1’s. Air filtration, a heated bed and chamber, a filament dryer, and a built-in camera are all present on the S1 Pro and S1. Even the MSRPs match: $1,499 for both machines.

While there’s a slightly larger build volume – 383 x 320 x 430 mm as compared to the S1’s 320 x 320 x 430 mm – there’s not much more room in terms of functionality.

Instead, the main difference seems to be the S1 Pro’s new cooling system, which, at 55 dB, is quieter than the S1’s 67 dB. There are also new “2.0 algorithms”, which work to improve features like spaghetti detection and auto-leveling (which were available on the S1).

All told, the S1 Pro doesn’t seem so much a sequel as a remake. Not that that’s a bad thing; just something to keep in mind when considering a purchase. You can find full specs on Flsun’s S1 Pro product page, where it is currently available at a discounted price of $1,099.00.
