For our first “Thing of the Week” at All3DP, which you can find here every Monday, we found a fun and functional print for Halloween: A ghostly design that adds a charmingly eerie glow to your decor this season.

This new model stands 117 mm tall and 90 mm wide, but of course, it can be scaled up or down to your liking. What makes it extra special is its elegant and thoughtful design: It’s hollow with thin walls, which saves on printing time and also allows the light from a light source to shine through beautifully, mainly if you use translucent filament.

Using an optional battery-powered candle, the ghost’s body will emit a soft, flickering glow, perfect for creating that spooky ambiance during Halloween parties or just for setting a festive mood at home. And if you choose to print it with glow-in-the-dark material, it becomes even more spooky.

Optimized for Easy Printing

What we love most about this model, besides its look, is how quick and effortless it is to print. It took us just 35 minutes to finish on a Bambu Lab X1E. Because there’s no need for support structures, it required a low amount of filament and there’s no post-processing – just pluck it off the build plate.

The ghost is designed to fit standard battery-powered tea lights. Simply place one in the base, and the translucent filament lets the light flicker through, casting eerie shadows and creating a mesmerizing effect that will capture attention. If you don’t have a tea light at hand, no worries – it looks cool enough on its own.
