Many dental professionals and orthodontists have adopted resin-based 3D printing technology to assist in the production of high-resolution dental models and more. Liqcreate, the Dutch 3D printing material manufacturer, has recently unveiled advancements in resin 3D printing that will put a smile on the face of dental professionals across the industry.

Liqcreate has recently announced the launch of a new dental-oriented photopolymer resin called Liqcreate Gingiva Mask, making the company’s dental 3D printing portfolio complete for many applications.

Liqcreate Gingiva Mask is a pink colored photopolymer that is a soft, flexible, and completely compatible with Liqcreate Dental Model Pro, which comes in beige or grey. The new Gingiva Mask resin was developed and designed with the aid of dental professionals to ensure that it meets the high standards required in this industry.

Gingiva Mask enables the possibility to 3D print soft parts for highly precise models, bridges and implant superstructures. It’s fully compatible with MSLA, LCD, DLP and SLA 3D-printers in the range of 385 – 420 nanometers. With its soft and flexible properties, it is perfect for the production of gum parts and soft tissue, supporting dental implant models and C&B projects.

With this new resin, Liqcreate’s resin portfolio, specifically created for prosthodontic and orthodontic applications, offers dental professionals with unlimited production potential. It’s no surprise that the company is quickly becoming a well-positioned player in the dental 3D industry.

Liqcreate’s Growing Presence: From Dental to Beyond

Based in The Netherlands, Liqcreate’s expertise lies in the formulation of SLA, MSLA, LCD and DLP polymers for use within the industrial, consumer goods, medical, dental, jewellery, aerospace and automotive industries. While the firm’s offering already addresses the need of a broad range of prototyping, engineering and industrial applications, over the last four years, it has begun to rapidly build on its product portfolio and expand its network.

Over the last year, the company launched 5 different resins (Premium Tough, Premium Flex, Tough-X, Flexible-X & Wax Castable) for the engineering, dental and jewellery applications. This year, Liqcreate is continuing its innovative streak with a range of new materials. In January 2021, it introduced a ceramic-infused material called Composite-X, which offers impressive characteristics like ultra-rigid 9000 Mpa modules and high flexural strength (170 Mpa).

In addition, Liqcreate also launched two new dental model materials (Dental Model Pro Grey & Beige) earlier this summer – before completing its dental portfolio with its new Gingiva Mask material.

Liqcreate is not only expanding its material offerings, but also increasing its network of distributors and partners in several different countries. The company has expanded into new markets like Australia, Canada, Russia and throughout the Balkans. It has also set up strategic partnerships with large printer manufacturers like UnionTech, Asiga and many more.

Liqcreate Continues to Invest in Research and Development

Aside from the new materials launched this year, Liqcreate continues to innovate in the resin industry with various R&D projects centered around medical and industrial applications. With an innovative and dynamic team of chemists and technical minded engineers, Liqcreate is setting a new standard for 3D printing in the engineering and industrial world.

For instance, Liqcreate is working together with industry leading companies in the field of automotive and engineering to bring new 3D-printed products and parts to the market. When switching from conventional product design to 3D printing, these companies have greatly reduced time to market and speed up the design to manufacturing pipeline. Due to Liqcreate’s independent manufacturing capabilities and R&D facilities, it can offer a straight-to-market solution that allows customers to quickly satisfy market demand.

In the field of small volume and custom equipment for the manufacturing industry, Liqcreate has supported companies by introducing new materials like Composite-X and other custom resin developments. Soft materials like Flexible-X are used by these manufacturers in end-of-arm tooling, effectively reducing lead times and increasing time-to-market. Resin 3D printing technology paves the path to designs that can’t be manufactured with other traditional methods.

The medical and dental industry embraced resin 3D-printing many years ago, but innovation continues to unlock new possibilities. Liqcreate continues to support the industry with custom developments in anti-microbial 3D printing resin and partnerships with leading dental experts.

Next to working closely with application specialists, Liqcreate also partners with leading 3D printer manufacturers and specializes in optimizing resins for specific 3D printers to yield rapid build speed while still maintaining quality.
