Mango3D announced changes to its pricing structure for the Lychee Slicer software yesterday with three subscription plans it said will take effect on July 15. But, after Lychee promptly took down its announcement blog post, it’s not entirely clear whether the changes are set in stone.

The first of the new plans, Lychee Slicer Lite, is a free plan that replaces the current Lychee Slicer Free option in name only. Nothing else changes for free users.

Lychee Slicer Plus replaces the Lychee Slicer Pro bundle, and includes all the features of both filament and resin versions of the software in one package – meaning there will no longer be separate versions.

Lychee Slicer Plus will be €9.99 per month or €99.90 per year. However, those who currently use the filament or resin version of Lychee Slicer Pro will receive a 20% discount for the first six months (if monthly users) or the entire year (if yearly users). Nothing will change for current filament-and-resin bundle plan subscribers.

Users who have opted for Lychee Slicer Pro and its “Premium” upgrade will automatically switch to the new pricing plan, although they will get to keep their four software activations unless they decide to change or end their subscription.

The final subscription plan is completely new, and packages Lychee Slicer Pro with an “amazing new product that will revolutionize your 3D printing experience,” according to Mango3D’s blog post. There’s no word on pricing, or on what that product might be, only a cryptic “stay tuned”.

At the time of this writing, the blog post announcing the pricing structure changes has been taken down. Whether this means Mango3D simply posted too early or is making last minute changes remains to be seen.
