In a video posted on Reddit on Sunday evening, one maker revealed the intricate details of their print using a tiny nozzle camera.

The video has garnered attention from Redditors, with 274 comments at the time of writing. Many people describe the 56-second clip as “way too satisfying.”

Commentors write that they have previously attempted to film their own prints using an endoscope nozzle camera. However, many found the endoscope interfered with the print, or “filled with resin”.

In one response, a maker posted a video detailing their own journey “stripping down” an endoscope nozzle camera and “improving its video performance” to create high-quality footage. He encouraged other makers to film their prints using this technique.

The original clip was posted by Redditor ZodiacKillerCruz, who uses PETG material to print and an 80€ (~$80) rifle borescope camera.

There are multiple cameras for your 3D printer on the market with different functions. Some are better at capturing beautiful timelapse footage, and others record prints in order to monitor the process (especially in case of a print failure).
