Peopoly has confirmed that its Magneto X 3D printers are set to ship in the third week of February, following a final brief delay to add shipping pallets to all orders. The announcement follows two similarly brief delays to the highly-anticipated machine late last year.

The latest delay adds about one week to Peopoly’s earlier mid-February estimate, but the company says the change is necessary due to “challenges primarily related to shipping damages” and will reduce the chance of damage during transit. Pre-orderers will face no extra costs, Peopoly says, despite the change to its expected shipping parameters.

This setback follows a two-week delay to the Magneto X for a PCB-related issue in late November, and another in late December due to printing inaccuracy caused by “nozzle pressure during bed meshing”. Since then, Peopoly says it has taken steps to improve its bed mesh readings.

In the same announcement, Peopoly also showed off the production edition of the Magneto X enclosure that will begin shipping in mid-March, the OEM says. Those who have ordered both the Magneto X and an enclosure will receive them separately, Peopoly said in response to a question on its blog.

Questions regarding the printer’s air filter and heater were also addressed, albeit in the blog regarding December’s delay. There, Peopoly said it was “currently in the process” of developing and testing both accessories and promised to provide updates on that front as soon as possible.
