Users of Prusa Research’s printer networking tool, Prusa Connect, may have noticed something off this last couple of weeks as they tried to send print jobs directly from PrusaSlicer, via Connect, to their printers.

The typical pop-up that lets you choose from your networked printers suddenly stated printers as having incompatible nozzle hardware – a mismatch. Such a mismatch error is the kind of failsafe baked into Prusa’s hardware and the checks performed before printing that it won’t let you (easily) print, and in this case resulted in the inability to remotely print using the Prusa Connect service.

The issue appears to have been resolved at the time of writing. Nozzle diameters for your connected hardware appear correctly now, and appear to be a part of a wide-ranging set of firmware and feature updates coming in the company’s 6.2 release for its printers. According to notes accompanying the pre-release alpha available for experienced (or foolhardy novice) users to try out, there are a number of aspects that improve hardware configuration settings and the sharing of this information between the hardware and software.

Prusa Research was contacted about the issues, but no comment was given by the time of publication.
