Rat Rig has begun taking reservations for its latest 3D printer, the V-Core 4, and released of the printer’s CAD files and documentation. The company says the machine’s build guide is set to come later this week.
The world got its first look at the V-Core 4 this past Rocky Mountain RepRap Festival, and a subsequent Rat Rig TV episode provides a detailed walkthrough of the system, highlighting key features such as its hybrid 3D printing mode that engages two motors on the Y-axis for increased acceleration, and “visually assisted offset” to calibrate the system’s “drop-in” independant extruder system.
The OEM says its early bird offers sold out in just 48-hours, so you should reserve fast if you’re keen to get your hands on the system. That said, the Rat Rig says the V-Core 4 will begin shipping in two weeks, so you may not have to wait all that long. IDEX modules aren’t available just yet, the company says, but will follow “very, very soon.”
