It’s official: the Rat Rig V-Core 4 3D printer is coming, and it will be fully unveiled in mid-April.

The announcement comes by way of the latest episode of Rat Rig TV on Rat Rig’s YouTube channel, and probably won’t come as a surprise to anyone who follows the company’s social media channels, which have been teasing the forthcoming machine for some time.

Details at this point are scarce. However, Rat Rig promises the V-Core 4’s performance will exceed that of its predecessor, the V-Core 3. The next episode of Rat Rig TV will be dedicated to the new printer, which will come in two variants.

Both models are partially shown during the V-Core 4’s announcement, and it appears that one will feature independent dual extruders, much like the beta V-Core 3.1 IDEX. Of course, nothing is confirmed at this time.

The episode also revealed that V-Core 3 owners can expect an upgrade kit that brings some of the “most important features” of the V-Core 4 to their machines at some point in the future.

Those who subscribe to the V-Core 4’s mailing list will be able to take advantage of an early-bird offer for the machine. There’s also a V-Core 4 product page on Rat Rig’s website. It’s currently empty, although we expect that to become populated in the coming weeks, so be sure to check back. And, of course, to hear what Rat Rig has to say about the V-Core 4 so far, check out the latest Rat Rig TV.
