Sainsmart launched the Genmitsu PROVerXL this past November: a CNC router with a 1300 x 1300 mm work area that’s touted as a “professional-grade” machine.

While woodworking is front and center with the device, the PROVerXL is also capable of cutting soft metals like aluminum and copper, composites like fiberglass, a range of plastics, and “high-density foam”, leveraging four closed-loop stepper motors that Sainsmart says can hit speeds of 5,000 mm per minute.

While the stock version of the machine arrives without a spindle – meaning users will have to provide or purchase one of their own – it is nevertheless compatible with two Z-axis modules, meaning it can operate with up to two spindle motors or trimming routers. Other optional peripherals include a hand wheel controller and a relay module switch.

The PROVerXL also integrates with the Genmitsu app, with which users can connect and control the machine. Users can adjust the Y-axis with a side-mounted rotate button, and make use of a built-in Z-probe to set up the Z-axis.

Features like a limit switch, helping prevent overtravel during use, and an emergency stop safety switch round out the machine, which retails for $4,499 (although it’s currently on sale for $3,999), reiterating its decidedly professional positioning. Check out the PROVerXL’s product page on Sainsmart’s website for full details.
