Sovol 3D has announced the imminent release of its latest 3D printer: an “entry-level” Klipper machine that the company says can reach print speeds of up to 250 mm/s.

The Sovol SV07 features a print bed of 220 x 220 x 250 mm, a high-flow hot end with a max nozzle temperature of 300 °C, and a self-developed, all-metal, direct drive extruder with planetary gearing that aims to increase both drive ratio and extrusion accuracy. Additionally, triple-fan cooling will ostensibly improve overall cooling capacity.

The SV07 also arrives with a five-inch touchscreen, a 32-bit “silent” motherboard that powers a dual Z-axis, as well as a 350 W Meanwell power supply, an “anti-slip” gates belt, belt tensioners, and a filament sensor. An inductive sensor, meanwhile, enables automatic bed-leveling upon a two-sided, magnetic, PEI plate.

Beneath the extruder is an LED light that provides both practical and aesthetic lighting to prints. There’s also a pull-out drawer for storage of small tools or extra parts. As for material compatibility, the SV07 works with what you’d expect from a desktop FDM printer – such as PLA, TPU, and PETG – as well as carbon fiber- and wood-based filaments.

Sovol 3D has told All3DP that the SV07 will have an MSRP of $399 after its launch on May 13th, but will be available for discounted early bird prices starting at $339 for the first 200 units, gradually stepping up to MSRP from there. For full specs – or to sign up for a notification when early bird units become available – check out the printer’s product page on Sovol’s website.
