Creality has officially released the Hi 3D printer. It’s a new bed slinger that riffs on the Ender 3 V3, but also packs native compatibility with the company’s Creality Filament System (CFS) in a bundle called the Hi Combo.
Both versions of the machine were announced in January. Since then, not much has changed, although we do have a few extra details – not the least of which is updated pricing. The Hi costs $369, while the Hi Combo will run you $519–that’s a $70 and $50 increase on the respective prices listed back in January.
The printer can reach claimed top speeds of 500 mm/s at 12,000 mm/s² acceleration, and boasts quite a few fun and useful features, like a folding touchscreen and a buzzer that alerts users to paused or finished prints. There’s also an integrated extruder that Creality says can help prevent clogs, plus a filament RFID sensor on the front of the printer, and a built-in camera. A fast heating print bed (comparable to the Centauri Carbon’s by the looks of it, which is saying something) complements the setup, and as with all of Creality’s modern line of 3D printers, it’s automatically self-calibrating.
Should you opt for the Hi Combo, you’ll be able to use the aforementioned CFS – up to four of which can be hooked together to allow for printing with up to 16 materials. The combo only comes with one CFS, though.
You can get the Creality Hi as of this week on the Creality webstore.
