Positioned as a versatile solution for small-batch production, rapid prototyping, and everyday 3D printing tasks, the HeyGears UltraCraft Reflex RS is a high-performance, resin 3D printer tailored for designers, engineers, and 3D printing enthusiasts.
By offering a blend of precision, speed, and user-friendly features, the UltraCraft Reflex RS is built to meet the fast-paced demands of innovative and creative environment. Combined with the UltraCraft Wash and UltraCraft Cure – a package sold as the UltraCraft Reflex RS Combo – the Reflex RS is truly an all-in-one resin powerhouse.
The UltraCraft Reflex RS leverages a host of innovative hardware and software features to achieve injection-molded-like results, including a dynamic motion algorithm for faster prints and intuitive automation functionalities. Together, they lay a foundation that allows the machine to meet the fast-paced demands of modern creators – for both professional and personal use cases.
At the heart of the 222 x 122 x 230 mm UltraCraft Reflex RS is a commitment to print precision. For example, a C5-grade Z-axis module maintains stable layer thickness with deviations limited to an impressive ± 2 µm.
Paired with a 10.3-inch, 8K mono LCD screen, which boasts with full-field screen calibration – dividing the screen into 60 zones to ensure consistent light intensity and accuracy across the print area– the Reflex RS can achieve tolerances of less than 0.05 mm. In all, the printer delivers detailed, injection-molded-quality prints, making it ideal for intricate designs and complex geometries.
Faster Printing, Enhanced Reliability
The UltraCraft Reflex RS arrives with Dynamic Motion Algorithm 3.0, which works to boost print speeds by as much as 33%, in turn allowing users to create high-quality, accurate parts in as few as two hours, at an average of 4.5 seconds per layer.*
*Data from HeyGears Lab, using a layer thickness of 50 μm and model height under 7 cm; printing results may vary per model.
The algorithm automatically adjusts speeds based on force sensor data for precise layer control. It also prevents common issues like misalignment or detachment during printing. All told, users will enjoy smoother, more reliable performance at higher speeds than the competition – enabling streamlined and uninterrupted workflows for all types of projects.
The Reflex RS offers a slew of user-friendly functionalities that cater to users of all experience levels. You’ll enjoy one-click pre-processing, for example, which streamlines the print setup process – and helps you get started printing in as little as 15 minutes.
There’s also automatic leveling for perfect alignment before every print, while force monitoring preemptively detects and addresses issues before they affect your print results. Additionally, the optional automated resin heating tank and auto-refilling system simplify material handling, letting users focus on their projects rather than tedious adjustments.
Adding to its stable of high-quality print materials tailored to various applications, HeyGears has released two new resins that specifically complement the Reflex RS.
The first is UltraPrint PAWW10, a water-washable resin with ultra-low water absorption (2.9%) that allows users to create durable, deformation-resistant models. The resin also simplifies post-processing with a three-minute rinse and five-minute cure, making it a great choice for miniature models like figurines.
Also arriving with the Reflex RS is UltraPrint PAS10, A cost-effective resin that delivers smooth, high-quality prints with up to 0.05 mm precision, which is ideal for prototypes and detailed designs where surface finish and accuracy is of utmost importance.
We put the UltraCraft Reflex RS to the test, using the machine to create several prints of varying sizes, resolutions, and materials. Here’s a look at what it was able to achieve.
We printed this smartphone stand in PAWR10 Creamy Resin at a standard resolution of 0.05 mm. The Reflex RS completed the print in three hours and 52 minutes – and the results are striking. With a glossy finish – and no need for post-processing, other than support removal – we can truly see how the printer lives up to its claims of injection molding-like results.
This “Harry Potter”-themed chess set is intricate and detailed, not to mention small. But the Reflex RS had no issue creating the pieces in high-precision resolution of 0.03 mm. The scope of this print was reflected in the 12 hour and seven minute print time, but the end result was worth the wait, especially with the beautiful PAP10 Ash Grey Resin we used.
This replica of a Holy Hand Grenade from the classic comedy film “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” is too cool– and beautiful to boot. We used PAWR10 Creamy Resin and the Reflex RS’s standard resolution (0.05 mm) to print it in three hours and 29 minutes, and couldn’t be more pleased. The end result is precise and detailed, so much so that it wouldn’t be out of place on the film’s set.
The Reflex RS joins HeyGears’ growing stable of 3D printers and 3D printing accessories, which includes the HeyGears UltraCraft Reflex and Reflex Combo.
The Reflex RS might be bigger and faster than its older sibling, but the Reflex is nevertheless impressive, with a 9.25-inch 6K mono screen, a 192 x 121 x 220 mm build volume, and print speeds of up to 12 seconds per layer. It also leverages 385 nm curing compared to the RS’ 405 nm, to open up the use of some high-performance resins. This makes the Reflex a great choice for smaller-scale projects where speed is not as pressing a priority.
However, both printers feature intelligent technologies like automatic leveling, resin auto-refill, and residue detection, as well as support a versatile lineup of resins – meaning there isn’t a lesser choice here, just one based on your printing needs.
The HeyGears UltraCraft Reflex RS shines in its ability to produce exceptional prints in record time. Its high precision and calibration capabilities ensure uniformity across even the most complex designs, and with results comparable to injection-molding, it’s hard not to recommend the machine to anyone interested in small batch production, or prototyping, or any other field in which innovation, iteration, and speed is a priority.
HeyGears is a leading provider of 3D printing solutions with more than nine years of experience, providing high-quality, precise, and user-friendly products for a variety of industries.
