It’s official: the Peopoly Magneto X has now begun shipping. The OEM says 40 units are currently on their way to US customers, and more will go out this week. Users in Canada and Europe can also expect their printers to ship in the immediate
future.

Additionally, in response to “interest in customizing your Magneto X or adapting its components for other printing systems”, Peopoly has also released CAD files for the Magneto X‘s frame and toolhead. Those files are now available for free on Peopoly’s website.

The Magneto X is Peopoly’s first FDM 3D printer. It’s a Klipper-based machine that features a beltless design by way of linear motors – a motion system the company calls “MagXY”. Upon its announcement, preorders for the printer, which were initially estimated to ship in mid-November, quickly sold out.

Since then, the Magneto X was delayed several times, due to issues related to PCBs, printing inaccuracy, and shipping challenges. Now, though, the wait is over, with users undoubtedly excited to finally get their hands on what looks to be an innovative machine.

The Magneto X is currently available for purchase for $1,799 on Peopoly’s website, where you can also find full specs. Users who buy a printer now can expect it to ship in the first week of June, Peopoly says.
