We all love a good 3D printing challenge, don’t we? Global automotive brand Lynk and model repository Thingiverse (plus several other brands) have teamed up to offer a challenge for 3D printing and design enthusiasts.

The unique competition invites participants to come up with ideas for the Lynk & Co 01 SUV. Entrants are tasked with designing car gadgets that not only push the envelope in terms of creativity and functionality but also underscore the potential of sustainable innovation.

The challenge boasts categories that span the spectrum of imagination: from the quirkiest designs that defy convention through essentials for the ultimate road trip to gadgets that would not be out of place in a time traveler’s arsenal.

Each category – Quirkiest Designs, Road Trip Ready, Time Traveler’s Choice, Gadget with a Story, and Impractical Yet Genius – encourages participants to explore the limits of their creativity and to share inventions that tell a story, solve a problem or bring a smile.

The winning entries will be printed by Craftcloud, All3DP’s 3D printing marketplace. Even if you don’t participate, everyone who’s looking at the competition page can get a 10% discount by using the code “LYNK&CO” at checkout.
