Tyson Build Plates has launched print beds designed for Bambu Lab 3D printers.

The plates are compatible with A1, X1, X1C, X1E, P1P, and P1S machines, and come in two versions: a 0.75 mm T-95 spring steel and a 1 mm T-6436 “superalloy” better-suited to “high-performance” filaments.

Both versions of the plates feature Tyson Build Plates’ “proprietary coating” on both sides, which the company says results in better print adhesion. They’re compatible with most filaments, save for TPI, and tout a claimed heat resistance of up to 230 °C. You can also choose from various etched designs, or use an uploaded custom image – although you’re limited to custom images with the T-6436 plates.

Notable here is that Tyson Build Plates is an American company, which will allow it to skirt the 10% tariff recently imposed on Chinese goods by the Trump administration – potentially saving users a bit of money in the face of Bambu Lab’s recent (and related) ~3% price hike. That said, Tyson Build Plates’ Bambu Lab plates still are more expensive than those you’ll find on Bambu Lab’s official store.

T-95 build plates start at $60 (or $80 for an etched design, $90 for a custom), while the T-6436 will run you $170 ($200 for a custom design). Check the details on Tyson Build Plates’ website.
