From the homes at Wolf Ranch to those at Wimberley Springs and in Austin’s Mueller Community, construction company Icon is on a roll across the state. It has also 3D printed barracks at Texas’ Fort Bliss, housing for the homeless, and the El Cosmico resort.
The newest project, The Canyon Club, is a planned luxury residential resort community on 60 acres of Lake Travis waterfront in the Texas Hill Country. The development will features a collection of 25 homes, 20 of which will be traditionally constructions and five will be 3D printed vacation properties.
Traditionally built five- and six-bedroom luxury homes at The Canyon Club are priced from $2.6M while the four-bedroom, 3,400 square-foot, 3D printed homes by Icon start in the low $400,000 per share of fractional ownership, i.e. timeshare.
“Shared ownership will include 1/8 of the property, six weeks of annual usage, and year-round membership benefits along with the potential to either trade weeks or generate income through a tailored Vacation Rental Program in partnership with Inspirato, Book-Above, and ThirdHome,” according to Icon.
The Canyon Club is a project by Prasso Ventures, which has residential developments in Arizona, Colorado, and Washington.
Icon says its robotic construction and AI systems lower the cost and increase the speed and quality of construction.
