xTool has released a successor to its popular F1 laser engraver: the F1 Lite.
Differences between the two machines are sparse. In fact, in terms of features, there’s only one: while the F1 boasts a 10W diode laser and 2W infrared laser – allowing it to engrave metals like gold, silver, and aluminum – the F1 Lite arrives with only the 10W diode laser, which is suitable for engraving softer materials like paper, wood, and leather.
The F1 Lite is also significantly cheaper, retailing for $799 compared to the F1’s $1,199 price tag. Other than that, the two machines are the same. Like the F1, the F1 Lite is fully enclosed, features a 115 mm x 115 mm working area, and can hit a claimed max speed of 4,000 mm/s. Additionally, there’s a top-mounted handle – supporting xTool’s claim of the device’s portability – and compatibility with xTool Creative Space design software.
Safety features like an emergency stop button and a built-in fan round out the device, which is available standalone or packaged with peripherals like xTool’s RA2 Pro rotary. Check the F1 Lite’s product page for full specs and details.
