Laser engraving machines are seemingly everywhere now, and their popularity is growing by leaps and bounds as DIYers, crafters, and woodworkers have started to integrate them into their workshop and add more pizzazz to their projects.
One of the latest “All In One” machines to hit the market is the YoraHome Laser Engraving Machine 6550-Pro. Released earlier this year, the new machine provides a significant upgrade over the manufacturer’s previous model.
After the launch of the original YoraHome 6550 Laser Engraver, the R&D team looked deeper into the product they were selling and asked themselves (as well as their customer base) the question: “What can we do to make this machine better, stronger, and a great value?”
The answer to that question is the YoraHome Laser Engraving Machine 6550-Pro, the latest all-in-one engraver from the renowned brand.

The greatest strengths offered by the 6550-Pro revolves around the features that the YoraHome team has integrated into the package – including many components that are usually only available as a separate add-on.
Another key advantage is the levels of support that the manufacturer offers with their machines, including exemplary customer support through a number of channels. YoraHome offers its customers several communities and forums, including a Facebook Users Group, CNC Forum, an Online Knowledge Base, as well as Telephone support. These various support lines are readily available to both current and potential customers.
Let’s take a look at the new features and specs of the 6550-Pro Laser Engraving Machine.
The 6550-Pro is equipped with an all-new 32-bit controller that runs GRBL ESP_32 v1.3. This version of GRBL is optimized for 32-bit controllers and is fully compatible with all standard GRBL-based software packages. This controller allows for new features that earlier 8-bit processors were unable to support.
The 6550-Pro has been successfully tested at speeds up to 20,000 mm per min. However, to ensure maximum stability during the engraving process, the default setting max is set at 8,000 mm per min. Experienced users can easily adjust this if they want to run their machines at higher speeds. The preset speeds allow for faster engraving without sacrificing image quality.
The controller advertises incredibly high accuracy down to 0.01 mm, allowing for precise engraving and finer detail than the previous iteration.

The 6550-Pro has done away with the multiple variants of laser modules that the previous 6550 was compatible with, opting to go with an 80W diode (10W optical output) instead. The compressed laser spot technology provides 0.08 x 0.08 mm precision, with enough power to perform cutting on soft wood materials with ease. As with most diode lasers on the market, it is recommended that laser power be limited to 80% for use to prolong the lifespan.
As one may surmise from the model number, the 6550-Pro offers a 65 x 50 cm work area, one of the largest on the desktop market. There is also an expansion kit available that allows users to expand the machine’s workspace to 65 x 100 cm, enabling even larger projects to be created.
With laser engraving, safety is just as important as performance-related features. The YoraHome team has added several safety features previously not found on the previous laser engraver model, including:

Plenty of makers have purchased a laser engraver and realized the limitations of their selection, convincing them to pay for more accessories that enhance usability, safety, and performance. The YoraHome 6550-Pro already comes packaged with many of these popular add-ons, allowing you to save money on all of those accessories, as they’re already in the box! These pre-packaged accessories include:
There are many other features as well. Check out the YoraHome 6550-Pro on the manufacturer’s website to learn more about the machine.
