Cults3D has announced the lucky winners for their Special Makes Challenge. Prizes include a BCN3D Sigma R17, filament, and a gift card.
Did you participate in the Cults3D Special Makes Challenge? Then you probably know that the 3D printing marketplace teamed up with BCN3D to promote their new Makes feature.
For those who missed it, here’s a quick breakdown. Makers could join a photo contest and be in with the chance to win a brand new BCN3D Sigma R17 3D printer.
The judges made their decision based on print quality, originality and number of “Likes”. The panel included All3DP Senior Editor Bulent Yusuf, BCN3D Marketing Manager Marc Felis, and Wesley Millora (aka Cults3D designer BigLilDesign).
Cults3D has just announced the Top 3 winners of their competition. First prize went to ”Putin Sound System” by Hugo, who will receive the BCN3D Sigma 3D printer as a prize.
Hugo explains his print by saying: “This is my Putin speaker system with a 5 inch car speaker. I love it and people always talk about it. The Left speaker is my favourite because its half Putin/half terminator. He is the Putinator, they both took me about 50 hours each.”
Second prize was awarded to Truaud for the”Skaterbench 10″, 3D printable legs to turn your skateboard into a stool! This user will receive 3 spools of filaments of choice from the extensive BCN3D catalog.
Third prize goes to ”WallE Robot” by MartinEriksson, who will receive a gift card worth €50 to download premium 3D models from Cults3D.
Congratulations to the winners!
Entering into the contest was as simple as uploading a photo of a 3D print made from a Cults3D file and including the hashtag #BCN3DCULTS in your description. The competition ran for just one month - between March 13th until April 13th 2017.
On their website, Cults3D said: “Dear Makers, you have been very numerous to participate in the Makes Challenge and we thank you so much. The creations submitted are really superb!”
