Brian Alexander Global AM Product and Business Development Manager Syensqo Specialty Polymers Brian founded Syensqo Speciality Polymer’s Business Incubation Platform for Additive Manufacturing. Syensqo is a €10 billion company headquartered in Belgium with more than 150 years of expertise in materials development. Today it produces specialty materials that are used in industries as diverse as automotive, medical, and aerospace. Brian has been with Syensqo for 25 years, working in multiple areas, including customer technical development, sales, marketing, strategy, M&A, strategic marketing, and business incubation. Brian holds an MBA and a degree in chemical engineering.
Amy Alexander Unit Head of Mechanical Development and Applied Computational Engineering within Mayo Clinic’s Division of Engineering (DOE) Mayo Clinic In this role, Amy bridges the medical device development and additive manufacturing capabilities of the DOE with the needs of the clinical practice. Amy is past chair of the SME Medical Additive Manufacturing Technical Advisory Team and a long-standing member of the Radiological Society of North America’s 3D Special Interest Group. Amy is a frequent co-author of medical 3D printing peer-reviewed papers, and long-term reviewer for Springer’s 3D Printing in Medicine Journal. In 2019, she was recognized as one of 14 international recipients of the SME Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer (OYME) award. Amy holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from MSOE. She holds certificates in Additive Manufacturing from MIT and SME.
John Barnes
Managing Director / CEO The Barnes Global Advisors / Metal Powder Works John is recognized internationally for contributions to additive manufacturing, product development, and leadership in engineering. He has a 30+ year career in product development and metal additive manufacturing working on the technical side – in materials, powders, processing, and printing to mature the technology for applications – while also working on the business-case side to further applications of AM worldwide. Today, he leads The Barnes Global Advisors, a consultancy founded in 2017 with a mission to accelerate the adoption and industrialization of additive manufacturing. John is also the CEO and founder of Metal Powder Works, as well as an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University and RMIT University. He holds more than 15 patents.
Jos Burger Member of the Supervisory Board, Former CEO Ultimaker, 3YourMind Jos is the former CEO of Ultimaker, one of the leading desktop printer manufacturers, and now a board member at Ultimaker and recently also joined the board of 3YourMind. He has more than 25 years of hands-on international experience in European and American companies operating in the global market. Ultimaker launched in 2011 and has grown to become a market leader, creating powerful, professional, and accessible desktop 3D printers along with materials and software. 3YourMind is a Berlin-based software company looking to help companies automate, digitize and optimize their additive manufacturing workflows.
Carl Diver Director PrintCity Carl is the Professor of Innovative Manufacturing at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK, and an expert in additive manufacturing, Industry 4.0, and digital transformation. He works to bridge the digital skills gap through teaching, research, and knowledge exchange. He is also the director of PrintCity, a state-of-the-art 3D printing facility at the University with more than 70 printers across seven technologies with a focus on sustainability. Carl is also academic chair of MMU’s Department of Engineering Industrial Advisory Board and the academic lead on Industry 4.0. He secured multi-million-dollar funding for the PrintCity Network Programme to establish it as an additive manufacturing hub dedicated for the use of SMEs. The facility is investing nearly $1 million in state-of-the-art equipment related to additive manufacturing. His work in manufacturing has also been published in highly regarded journals, including the CIRP Journal of Manufacturing Science and Technology and Robotics and Computer-Integrated Manufacturing.
Richard Grylls Principal Advisor The Barnes Global Advisors As a recognized metal additive manufacturing expert with a Ph.D. in metallurgy, Richard’s career has spanned some of the most innovative companies in metal 3D printing, including GE, Optomec, SLM, Carpenter Technology, Seurat, and Beehive Industries. Now, as an advisor at The Barnes Global Advisors, he continues to be a tireless advocate for the adoption of metal AM across industry.
Chris Harris Vice President of Defense Tech-Labs
Chris has worn many hats in the additive manufacturing industry. At his own company, Chris has provided his proprietary sales training and consulting services to more than 200 3D printer original equipment manufacturers and value-added resellers from more than 60 countries. He is also the Chief Revenue Officer at Tech-Labs, an organization providing advanced additive manufacturing education and solutions. Before that, he was the VP of Defense at 3D printer manufacturer, Spee3D.Chris is the author of seven books, including “Phase Selling for Additive Manufacturing,” and outside of AM, he has been inducted into the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame, holds the rank of Grand Master, has written “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Self-Defense,” and serves on the U.S. Ju-Jitsu Technical Committee. He is also a Business Executives for National Security (BENS) member and a U.S. military veteran.

A leading provider of 3D printing solutions for over 20 years, Dynamism delivers a competitive edge for thousands of businesses, from Fortune 500 corporations to start-ups and small businesses. Douglas has built one of the most successful reselling channels for best-in-class additive manufacturing brands and on-demand 3D printing.
Sylvia Monsheimer Head of Market Segment, High Performance Polymers Evonik Operations Sylvia heads Evonik’s global business for New 3D Printing Technologies. For over 20 years, she has been developing and launching high-performance materials for various 3D printing technologies. With her in-depth knowledge of the market, she accompanies both established processes, such as laser sintering, and emerging technologies throughout the entire value chain. In Sylvia’s former function as the head of the Strategic Innovation Projects department, she worked on topics such as nanoparticles in polymers and the interaction between laser and polymer.
Kristin Mulherin
Director, Additive Manufacturing Technology Hubbell Incorporated, Women in 3D Printing,AM-Cubed, Co-Founder of ImplementAM Kristin wears many hats in the additive manufacturing industry. Not only is she the director of AM technology at the giant energy company, Hubbell, she is also the founder of her own AM consultancy, AM-Cubed and the co-founder of Implement AM, both focused on supporting the commercial of additive manufacturing and 3D printing businesses. Kristin has held roles within Nexa3D, Dyndrite, HP, LPW Technology (now Carpenter Additive), and Thermo Fisher Scientific. She is currently the president of Women in 3D Printing and holds degrees in materials science engineering, marketing, and finance.
Matthias Schmidt-Lehr Managing Partner AMPOWER At his consultancy in Hamburg, Matthias successfully manages multiple projects in additive manufacturing with a focus on the business case and strategic development for AM users as well as system and material suppliers. With a history in management consulting, he has broad experience in business development, strategy development and communication. At AMPOWER he has led multiple projects concerning DED, BJT, and metal FDM, as well as a wide range of polymer AM technologies. AMPOWER consulting services support customers’ journey from the first idea all the way up to running serial production with multiple qualified machines.
Tuan TranPham President of Americas and Asia Pacific Anisoprint Tuan is not only one of the AM industry’s most vocal influencers, but he is also leading the expansion of Anisoprint, a manufacturer of continuous carbon fiber 3D printers for industry and desktop. He was the CRO of Chicago-based Azul 3D, a maker of high-speed resin 3D printers aimed at production manufacturing. With more than 20 years of experience in the field, Tuan has worked for six of the largest 3D printing companies, including Z Corporation, 3D Systems, Objet, Stratasys, Arcam (a GE company), and Desktop Metal. While at Desktop Metal, he was recognized with the Additive Manufacturing Users Group’s (AMUG’s) most prestigious honor as elected by his peers – the Distinguished Innovator Operators award.
