Santa’s elves are bringing 3D scanning equipment to ‘Bauble Me’ Pop Ups in Manchester and London, UK, turning heads into Christmas decorations.
Sony Xperia is giving city-dwellers in the UK the opportunity to own the ultimate narcissistic Christmas bauble. For just two weekends next month you’ll find ’Bauble Me’ Pop Ups in London then Manchester.
The finished bauble isn’t a cute reindeer or chuckling Santa. Instead, it’s a replica of your own face, 3D scanned and printed using Sony’s new 3D Creator app. Not with your loved one this year? Send them a bauble so they can be reminded of you on Christmas day.
If you can make it to Westfield Stratford in London or Manchester Arndale shopping centers, Sony Xperia will be scan your face using their 3D Creator app. Better yet, if you own an Xperia smartphone, your bauble will be free — so long as you’re one of the first 100 to visit the pop up.
If you don’t own an Xperia phone, don’t worry. It’s possible for you to spend £30 (plus postage) to receive your mini-me decked in a Christmas hat.
Sony state on their website: “Sony Xperia is set to take personalized gifting to a whole new level this Christmas.” Whether you’ve been naughty or nice, the electronics giant’s will turn your face into a present on Saturday 2nd December between 10am and 9pm. Or, on Sunday 3rd December between 12pm and 5pm.
If you can’t make it to either of these dates in London, the Sony elves will also be in Manchester Arndale shopping centre the next weekend. Visit on Saturday 9th December between 9am and 8pm. Or Sunday 10th December between 11:30am and 5:30pm.
