3D printing solutions company, Verashape, will be unveiling their VShaper 5-Axis Machine, which boasts a range of features, at Formnext 2017.
At next week’s Formnext 2017 event, 3D printing company, Verashape, will be unveiling their conceptual VShaper 5-Axis Machine. The company offers future customers to get into a dialogue with them so that they can have an influence over the final product.
“The conceptual work on the 5-Axis Machine continues, but we have decided to present its effects so that potential customers are included in the technology development process. We invite industry representatives to actively participate in this project – we are open to any suggestions. We strive for the machine, that will become available to purchase in 2019, to meet the expectations of demanding production companies,” said Tomasz Szymański, founder and CEO of Verashape.
Verashape has been working with the support of the Polish National Research and Development Center to develop the latest machine.
Their printers are predominantly useful for aerospace, automotive, medicine and injection mold production. However, they also have a place in research institutes, higher education, and design.
However, although we have a long wait until the printer is available for purchase, the company claim it will “transform the way people think about 3D Printing in FFF technology.” With 5-axis kinematics and a tilting rotary working platform, the company claim to be enhancing the layer upon layer printing method.
“Having 20 years of experience in cooperation with production companies we create unfailing 3D Printers designed for industrial use. We are fully aware of expectations towards industrial appliances and producers’ needs,” the company state on their website.
So, for the VShaper 5-Axis Machine, the company explain three ways which they are improving the layer upon layer printing method. The changes included in their press release are:
The machine also has a workspace in the shape of a cylinder. It has both a 300 mm diameter and a 300 mm height. But, more interestingly, it also has different heads which are all usable during one process, thanks to a “tool bank”.
The device can process the majority of thermoplastic materials thanks to a heated platform and constant temperature within the working chamber. However, time will tell whether the printer can perform as the company promise.
If you’re visiting this year’s Formnext event, you can view the VShaper 5-Axis Machine at stand F-29 in hall 3.1. Alternatively, visit the Verashape website for more information.
