The Taiwanese 3D printing company XYZprinting is launching the new Nobel Superfine DLP 3D printer for jewelry designers and dentists.

Known for offering an extensive range of affordable 3D printers for both beginners and prosumers, XYZprinting seems to always have a new product up it’s sleeve.

Earlier this week, at the JCK Las Vegas jewelry trade show, the company added yet another machine to its vast arsenal. During the event, the Taiwanese manufacturer showcased the Nobel Superfine DLP 3D printer.

Nobel Superfine DLP 3D Printer: The Specs

First announced at CES 2017 back in January, the new DLP platform aims to mesh affordability with quality. Continuing down the family lineage of the Nobel SLA printing family, the Superfine could be a new feat in precision and functionality for XYZprinting.

The company feels that its DLP printer offers numerous advantages over SLA technology. For instance, the Nobel Superfine comes fully assembled and enclosed, essentially making it a professional plug-and-play printer. It also offers auto-calibration, up to 25-micron layer height (Z-axis), as well as 50-micron on the X/Y axis.

With dimensions of 11.4 x 14 x 16.7 inches, the printer is quite compact and and primed for the desktop. The Nobel Superfine will be compatible with XYZprinting’s photopolymer resin and castable resin.

The suggested retail price in the United States will be set at $2,699.

XYZprinting Aims For Jewelry Designers and Dentists

According to CEO Simon Shen, the Nobel Superfine is designed to empower “professional designers and business owners with cost effective solutions to grow their business.” This printer is particularly suited for jewelry designers and dentists.

The DLP platform is capable of producing high quality moulds, offering a wax resin that is comparable to lost-wax casting. By allowing users to create high-quality molds in a quick and affordable way, the Superfine could gain traction in a market currently conquered by the likes of Formlabs.

At JCK, XYZprinting is also showcasing sample jewelry like rings, tiaras, bracelets, as well as brooches. The company is expressing undying commitment to supporting small businesses in the jewelry and dental industry, promising a one-year warranty, as well as unlimited email and call support.
