XYZprinting releases the da Vinci Super 3D printer, offering a 29x29x30 cm build volume and third-party filament compatibility.

As the consumer 3D printing market becomes saturated with the onslaught of affordable machines, manufacturers have to offer high-caliber products for a low price in order to get ahead of the competition.

XYZprinting has managed to succeed here by balancing out quality and quantity, releasing an arsenal of printers that satisfy each crevice of the widespread market. After unveiling their groundbreaking full-color 3D printer last month, the Taiwanese manufacturer has released yet another machine, making their product line bigger in every sense of the word.

The da Vinci Super is a new FFF printer that offers the largest build volume out of the XYZprinting catalog. With a 29 x 29 x 30 cm print area, the newest member of the da Vinci family is looking to attract consumers and makers that want more sizable prints.

The da Vinci Super: A Look at XYZprinting’s Largest 3D Printer Yet

Priced at $1,999.95, the Super goes beyond what the leading 3D printing manufacturer usually offers, particularly when it comes to material compatibility. One of the constant knocks on most XYZprinting 3D printers is the proprietary filament system. However, with the da Vinci Super, users will be able to use a vast range of third-party filaments.

The printer’s nozzle is able to reach up to 300°C, and will work with ABS, PLA, PETG, and others. The da Vinci Super also offers helpful features like power failure recovery and pause, allowing you to continue a print after a power failure takes place. You can also manually pause your print and continue it without issue.

Additionally, the Super includes automatic platform calibration, heat-resistant glass printing platform, an intelligent quick-release nozzle, and intuitive user interface.

All in all, XYZprinting seems to be aiming for prosumers with their latest printer, offering more print size, features, and freedom than ever before. Although it’s a bit pricer than their usual lot, the da Vinci Super could–along with the da Vinci Color–suggests a step in a more professionally minded direction for this 3D printer manufacturer.

The da Vinci Super is currently available for preorder from the XYZprinting web shop.
