E3D has released a “premium” lineup of Zodiac nozzles, further bolstering its already large – and continuously expanding – arsenal. The move follows E3D’s acquisition of Zodiac 3D, which was announced last year.

The “Zodiac by E3D” nozzles arrive in CRB and Pro variants for Volcano, Volcano V6, MK8, and Raise3D hot ends, and are available in both 0.4 and 0.6 mm sizes. The CRB nozzles offer “great wear resistance,” and are designed to reduce filament buildup and withstand temperatures of up to 300 °C. Pro nozzles further increase wear resistance and are rated for temperatures up to 450 °C.

In a blog post, E3D notes that the nozzles’ release follows due diligence to ensure that its Zodiac offerings meet the international ISO 9001 standard for quality management. During this process, E3D says, a “particular focus on nozzle concentricity and reducing the number of thread defects as well as paying careful attention to coating consistency”.  The results are a number of “small improvements” that collectively improve overall nozzle quality.

Zodiac by E3D nozzles are available now directly from E3D’s website, with prices starting from ~$40 (£32.00 GBP). For more details, check out the Zodiac release blog post – or head to E3D’s Help Center, where you’ll find documentation for its Zodiac products.
