DLP (Digital Light Processing) is a rare sight in consumer resin 3D printing. The vast majority of the machines that turn gloopy, smelly, UV sensitive resin into beautiful detailed objects make use of MSLA (Masked Stereolithography) to complete the transformation. DLP has been, traditionally, only really seen in high-end prosumer machines – and they ain’t cheap.

Anycubic brought out a DLP-packing resin 3D printer in and the around the summer of 2021, collaborating with Texas Instruments at the time. The resulting printer became part of the popular Photon family of machines, gaining the name Photon Ultra. The Photon Ultra was originally put on Kickstarter, because marketing, before finding its way to the Anycubic online store priced at $599. The first 100 backers of the project on Kickstarter were able to pledge $399 (remember, Kickstarter isn’t a marketplace) in order to hopefully (because there’s no promises!) get a Photon Ultra. Now though, Anycubic is clearing the last of the Ultra stock it had and you can pick one up for just $349.

Many people think that DLP is a better resin 3D printing technology than MSLA, and there are reasons for them thinking that way. But you’re here for the deal, right?

From October 18 to October 31, Anycubic has told us it’s getting rid of the final Ultras it has in stock, offering them for just $349, which is a price you can reach when using a code at the checkout. Pay attention now, this is the important bit. The code is: “DLP50”.

Don’t expect stocks to hang around for long. If this is something you fancy moving in on, head on over to the Anycubic store’s Photon Ultra product page with haste, and get that order in.

If this one isn’t doing it for you, don’t you worry about it. It’s almost holiday season and the first Early Black Friday Deals are starting to appear, and there’s bound to be some tasty stuff cropping up there soon. Oh wait? What’s that? There already is? Alright!
