An update to Fluidd, the UI for popular 3D printer firmware Klipper, has dropped, bringing with it a host of quality-of-life features.

Perhaps most interesting in Fluidd version 1.23.2 is support for G-code viewing on plotter-style devices, for which the viewer previously did not work if no extrusion moves were defined – posing issues for 2D plotters without Z-axes or extruders.

A new “pressure advance per extruder stepper” feature, meanwhile, now shows existing pressure advance controls for active extruders with steppers attached, as well as a new, separate box with pressure advance controls for each separate extruder stepper.

Additionally, a “timelapse” feature adds X-only and Y-only park modes, better-enabling print photography. Drag-and-drop ordering of G-code macros has also been enabled, allowing for simpler organization of related macros and easier overall navigation.

The new version of Fluidd also adds support for the Hungarian language, as well as updates to Chinese translations. Several other features – plus bug fixes – are also included in the update. Check them out or download Fluidd v1.23.2 in full on Github.
